Glue to page 42 in S.S. "textbook."
Add the thirteen colonies to your map of page 198-199.
See Unit 2: Constitution Study Guide for list and spelling of 13 colonies.
Don't use abbreviations - Full state names
Add the thirteen colonies to your U.S. map on page 198-199.
Write out the full name of each state NOT abbreviation.
Use pencil only.
Go to Google Classroom and find the practice activity titled: "13 Colonies Review" - It will have you join "Wayground" (formally Quizizz) to complete this activity.
This is a practice activity you can do over and over to practice where all 13 colonies are on a U.S. map.
Continue the U.S. Amendment Timeline:
Glue timeline strip to page 43 in SS "textbook" - Follow Mrs. Whelpley's lead on how to do this.
Add important events to your timeline according to their year(s):
Civil War: 1861-1865
Spanish American War: 1898
World War I: 1914 - 1918
World War II: 1941-1945 (U.S. involvement)
Korean War 1950 - 1953
Vietnam War 1955 - 1975
Hand out amendment stickers & roman numeral stickers
Add specific amendments on timeline (stickers of amendments given in class)
Determine the amendment # for each (use pencil only so you can erase if necessary) and write
Use the constitution books at table or THIS LINK to find and label each amendments #.
4. Now, put each amendment sticker on your timeline according to the year it was ratified.
Use THIS link to help find the year the amendment was ratified.
Write the year each amendment was ratified directly on each amendment sticker.
**Check your finished amendment timeline:
Do you have Amendments 13-27 on your timeline?
Did you record the year each amendment was ratified?
Are your Amendments in order by the year they are ratified?
Is your amendment clear? Can you easily read it?

Sort "Alliances, WWI vocabulary and outbreak of WWI" timeline cards into three piles under these headings:
alliances
timeline - look for dates
vocabulary
Put the time line cards in order by their date.
THEN, fill out the timeline on your Alliances, WWI vocabulary and outbreak of WWI note sheet.
Complete the vocabulary portion using the cards.
Sort the alliances. Fill in any notes on your note sheet.
Use slides to fill in the rest of the notes on the page on the timeline portion of the Alliances, WWI vocabulary and outbreak of WWI 1/2 sheet if you prefer to see cards digitally.
When finished glue to page 44 in S.S. "textbook."
