If you score 90% or better, you have advanced geography status.
Therefore, you need to take the advanced geography pretest too.

Make sure you PRINT the states FULL NAME - No ABREVIATIONS.

Hand out United States Map sticker - "I will learn what was different about the United States map in 1898 & United States"
Open to page 27 in your SS "textbook."
On the first line write the following title: "U.S. Territories in 1898 - Not U.S. States yet:
OK = Oklahoma
AZ = Arizona
NM = New Mexico
AK = Alaska
HA = Hawaii
Next, place sticker of the U.S. underneath what you just printed on page 27 in SS "textbook." See Mrs. Whelpley's example in class
