Junior Showcase - "BMTV Presents"

SATURDAY 22nd  NOVEMBER 2025:  Technical Rehearsal, 

ERINDALE THEATRE

 ~COMPULSORY FOR ALL PERFORMERS TO ATTEND~

KEY TIMES

2:00pm – Arrival Time

• All Junior Showcase students arrive and meet their Group Leader in the foyer

• Wear your Showcase T-shirt with black or Bom Funk leggings/hot shorts/track pants

• Hair done & optional makeup completed

2:15pm – Blocking/Technical Rehearsal on Stage

• Students watch the rehearsal from the audience. No parents allowed in auditorium. 

• Wear your Showcase T-shirt with black or Bom Funk leggings/hot shorts/track pants with correct dance shoes

• Students will have an opportunity to eat a snack in the foyer
  ▪ Pack a simple, no-spill, nut-free snack and water only
  ▪ E.g. dry biscuits, crackers, dried fruit, cheese sticks
  ▪ ❌ No yoghurts, dips, popcorn or nut-based products
  ▪ Alternatively, provide canteen money
  
  

4:15pm – Students Return Backstage

• Collect costume and get ready for the performance

• No parents allowed backstage
  
  

4:45pm – House Opens to Audience

5:00pm – SHOWTIME!  Junior Showcase – “BMTV Presents”

6:30pm – Show Ends

• Dancers will be brought to the foyer by their Group Leader

• Parents collect and sign out students in the foyer

• No parents allowed backstage
  
  

IMPORTANT PROCEDURES

Pre-Show

• Arrive at the scheduled 2:00pm arrival time

• Dancers must arrive wearing:
  ▪ Showcase T-shirt
  ▪ Black or Bom Funk leggings/hot shorts/track pants
  ▪ Hair & optional makeup completed
  
  

Once at Erindale Theatre:

• Meet your Group Leader in the foyer and sign in

• A teacher will escort students backstage and into the auditorium for rehearsal

• Parents are not permitted in the auditorium (except to support Special Needs students)

• Students will have snack time during rehearsal – please follow the snack guidelines above
  
  

During the Show

• Group Leaders supervise all dancers backstage

• Dancers will:
  ▪ Be given their costume bag
  ▪ Get changed
  ▪ Take professional photos
  ▪ Perform on stage

• Finale: All dancers return to the stage wearing their Showcase T-shirt to receive a special award and a moment in the spotlight
  
  

After the Show

• Costumes remain at the theatre and are collected on the day

• Students are returned to the foyer by their Group Leader

• Parents meet dancers in the foyer and sign them out

• No parents allowed backstage

SPECIAL NEEDS STUDENTS

Families of All Starz Special Needs Class will receive additional details directly from Miss Zoe, to accommodate individual student needs.

REMINDERS & REQUIREMENTS

✅ Arrive on time – dancers must not miss their stage rehearsal

✅ Arrive in your Showcase T-shirt, black/Bom Funk pants, with correct dance shoes

✅ All personal belongings must be clearly labelled

✅ Bring a nut-free, no-spill snack and water only OR canteen money

✅ Only Bom Funk staff and volunteers are allowed backstage

✅ Rehearsals replace Friday & Saturday classes

✅ All backstage adults have Working With Children Checks

✅ All Bom Funk staff are First Aid trained

✅ Students under 18 must remain inside the venue unless signed out by a parent or guardian
