WHAT TO WEAR
WHAT TO WEAR
All students must wear the costume and accessories provided as outlined in the ‘Costume Requirements’ documentation.
Some items may need to be arranged by families, including:
▪ Tights
▪ Underwear (flesh coloured)
▪ Socks
▪ Correct dance shoes
▪ (Occasionally) Leggings or pants
Need help? Visit the Bom Funk Front Desk and speak with Miss Lillian, Miss Zoe, or Miss Karley.
TRY-ONS & PACKING

Costumes will be tried on in class once they arrive.
If there are no issues, costumes will be:
▪ Packed into each student’s named costume bag
▪ Brought to the venue by Bom Funk staff and
▪ Handed out on the day of the Showcase
BACKSTAGE PROTOCOL

Only 1 adult per dancer is allowed backstage before the tech rehearsal to assist with changing into their first costume.
After the show, 1 adult per family may return to the dressing rooms to help their child collect their belongings & tidy up.
Sign out with your Group Leader and return your costume bag before leaving.

COSTUME RETURNS
All costume items and accessories provided by us must be returned in the named bag before leaving the venue.
No items are to leave the theatre.
If any items are missing or damaged, the replacement cost will be charged to your account.
FIT & ALTERATIONS
FIT & ALTERATIONS
Costumes are provided free of charge.
Due to the volume of students, they may not fit perfectly.
Teachers will assess whether any major alterations are needed before the costumes are packed.

Tights and Shoes
Every family is responsible for purchasing the correct shoes and tights (if required) for performance. Ballet & Tan Jazz tights are optional for Dance Kingdom students.

Can be purchased through our Boutique or from local Dance store such as Bloch or Attitude Australia.

Shoes for performance will be the same as the designated class shoe:
Ballet Bunnies: Pink ballet shoes. Limited stock available in the Boutique.
Beetle Bop Dance: Pink ballet shoes recommended. Limited stock available in the Boutique. Bare feet as other option.
Hiphop-o-potamus: Hip hop Sneakers, preferably ALL Black (options may be available from Kmart/Big W).
Cheer Pom Pandas: All-White tennis shoes/sneakers (options may be available from Kmart/Big W).
Rhythm Rhinos: Black Tap shoes. Limited 2nd hand stock available in the Boutique.
