Students who have joined a class after week 3, Term 3 are unable to perform in our Showcase.

Make up is optional but we do encourage a bit of make up especially as dancers get older, so that their face can be seen under the lights for stage performances.

It is VITAL we know if you are not intending to bring your dancer. Dance is a team sport.

If your dancer is not participating in the End of Year shows, please notify our office by Wednesday 27 August using the form below to avoid being charged:
Completing this form is the only way we will accept notification. No refunds will be given on each installment once paid. Withdrawal from participation with no penalty will only be given on the Term 4 instalment if withdrawn prior to term starting.

Our students work towards their End-of-year performance for 2 terms which includes spacing and often with partners and group positions. It can put a lot of unnecessary pressure on students to have to change their position or partner the week before or day of the performance. Please remember that each class operates as a team!

Are there extra rehearsals?

Yes, but only one. We limit rehearsals as much as possible for our families!
Each show only has one compulsory theatre rehearsal on the same day as their performance. Students must attend this rehearsal to be allowed to perform in the Showcase. This is due to safety rules of the venue.
There is no additional cost for theatre rehearsals.

Our Inter/Senior, Dance Kingdom, Junior and Cheer Showcases are being held at Erindale Theatre in 2025.

What is the cost for dancers to participate?
What is the cost for dancers to participate?
Each dancer will be charged a $80 Production Package. Our Production package provides incredible value. Each participant will receive:
Digital copies of professional photos taken backstage and on stage,
A digital copy of their Showcase filmed as a download,
Red carpet awards where they will be presented with a participation medal,
PLUS a 20th Birthday Bom Funk Tshirt!
If a dancer is in more than one show, they will only be charged for one Production Package. They will also only receive 1 medal and 1 Tshirt.
There are NO costume fees charged for any of our Showcases. This is a saving of at least $85+ per dancer/routine!!
Production Package Payment Details
The Production Package fee will be added to your student account on 11 August, with the first instalment of $40 withdrawn on Friday 29 August.
If you wish to pay via direct deposit instead, please do so before Wednesday 27 August.
The second instalment of $40 will be included with your Term 4 fees.
Dancers on payment plans will need to make an additional payment to cover this fee.

There are no costume hire fees charged for our End-of-year Showcases.

Dancers will need to supply their own dance shoes & base clothes (underwear etc) as per requirements.

The only other cost is tickets for friends and family who wish to attend and watch the show. Dancers do not need a ticket as they will remain backstage for the entire show so that they can walk the red carpet at the end.

No. Your dancer will be backstage during the entire show as all dancers are in their class routine/s and Finale.

You should plan to arrive and check in your dancer at least 15 minutes prior to their scheduled rehearsal time. This allows you time to sign them in, purchase any snacks they may need and find where they need to be. Check the full day & rehearsal schedule closer to the date.

For the safety and security of all dancers, all dancers must remain backstage until the end of the show so that all students can be accounted for. All dancers will return to the stage at the conclusion of the show for the finale. You don't want to miss this!

It’s part of the magic of the show! We have many approved volunteers and teachers (all with WWCC) who help to make sure all young dancers are changed and ready for their performance. You can help us out by making sure all pieces that your dancer brings (such as dance shoes) is labelled with his or her name. Please pack a Dance Kit so our volunteers can help them.

You do! We do not do each dancer's hair & makeup but we do provide detailed videos and photo tips to help you get ready. Don't worry, we keep hair styles and makeup very simple.

If you practice a few times and still get stuck, please add a post into your child's BAND classroom to find someone who can help - we have lots of parents and senior students who can assist but only if arranged prior to the performance. You can also purchase some make up & hair supplies from our Boutique pending stock.

For the safety and security of all dancers, only staff and approved volunteers with WWCC clearance may be backstage during the show and rehearsals - the number of adults backstage is limited. All volunteers and staff are required to have Working with Children checks.

We advise parents to purchase all necessary costume pieces prior to the day of the event. We don't usually have time on the day of the Showcase to sell dance items. You will receive a costume document which details what the studio is providing and what you need to provide (usually underwear, sometimes black leggings/pants & shoes only).

Please note that NO classes will be held at our studios on Friday 21st November and Saturday 22nd November, except for Triple Threat. The technical rehearsals at the Theatre are held in replacement of these classes.
Students in non-performance classes on that Friday and Saturday (acro, aerial, pre-pointe, Tumble Tigers, Adult ballet) will be provided with a make up replacement workshop on Tues 16 December at Bom Funk Qbn (details closer to the time). Students in the Cheer show as well as Triple Threat will need to prioritise the Cheer show rehearsal.

We usually run a canteen during the break and before and after the show.

No food can be consumed in the backstage/dressing rooms or Theatre auditoriums as per the venue hire requirements. Food must only be eaten in the foyer or Green Room. Please bring a water bottle for dancers to have backstage. Students are not to eat or drink in costumes (except water).
