All students are required to wear the costume and accessories provided as outlined in the ‘Costume Requirements’ documentation.
Some additional items may need to be supplied by families, including:
▪ Tights
▪ Underwear (flesh coloured)
▪ Socks
▪ Correct dance shoes
▪ (Occasionally) Leggings or pants

Costumes will be tried on in class once they have arrived.
If there are no issues, costumes will be:
▪ Packaged into a named costume bag
▪ Delivered to the venue by Bom Funk staff
▪ Handed out on the day of the Showcase
All costume items and accessories must be returned in the named bag before leaving the theatre.
No items brought by Bom Funk are to leave the venue.
If any item is missing or damaged, the cost of replacement/repair will be charged to your account.
Costumes are provided free of charge.
Due to the number of students and variation in sizing, some costumes may not be a perfect fit.
Our teachers will assess whether major alterations or changes are needed before handing costumes out.

Every dancer is responsible for purchasing the correct shoes and tights/stockings for their performance.
We provide a safe dance environment and child-safe show, so correct footwear and hosiery are mandatory.
Can be purchased from:

Performance shoes are the same as the designated class shoe.
Limited second-hand shoes are available in our Boutique.
Other shoe styles can be purchased from Bloch or Attitude Australia.
We recommend purchasing any required underwear from Best & Less or Kmart.
Seniors may prefer dance brand underwear such as body stockings.
Limited kids’ sizes are available at the Bom Funk Boutique.
Adult sizes can be purchased from Attitude Australia or Bloch.

If you or your child has 2 or fewer costume items between routines, you must change in the Quick Change Area backstage (Green Room). Please set up your costume here before the show.
Replace shoelaces on Hip Hop & Tap shoes with black elastic
Wear low-cut hip hop shoes (like tennis shoes) with black socks instead of high tops
Wear a flesh bodystocking to stay covered at all times (available at local dance stores)
Bring a plastic tub to hold your costumes while changing
Bring a white towel to place costumes on—prevents losing items in the dark
Make sure all your belongings are clearly named
