REHEARSAL SCHEDULE

Cheer Showcase - "Own the Air"

Friday 21st  NOVEMBER 2025:  Technical Rehearsal, 

ERINDALE THEATRE

 ~COMPULSORY FOR ALL PERFORMERS TO ATTEND~

KEY TIMES

4:00pm – Arrival Time

• All Cheer Showcase dancers arrive and head to the Sign In desk in the foyer

• Wear your Showcase T-shirt over Bom Funk cheer uniform or black hot shorts

• Hair done & optional makeup completed

4:15pm – Blocking/Technical Rehearsal on Stage

• Dancers will watch the rehearsal from the audience

• Wear Showcase T-shirt over Bom Funk cheer uniform or black hot shorts with correct dance shoes

• Students will have an opportunity to eat a snack in the foyer
  ▪ Pack a simple, no-spill, nut-free snack and water only
  ▪ E.g. dry biscuits, crackers, dried fruit, cheese sticks
  ▪ ❌ No yoghurts, dips, popcorn or nut-based products
  ▪ Alternatively, provide canteen money

6:30pm – Students Return Backstage

• Collect costume and get ready for the show

• No parents allowed backstage
  
  

6:45pm – House Opens to Audience

7:00pm – SHOWTIME!  Cheer Showcase – “Own the Air”

Approx. 8:00pm – Show Finishes

• Dancers are brought to the foyer by their Dressing Room Leader

• Parents collect and sign out students in the foyer

• No parents allowed backstage
  
  

IMPORTANT PROCEDURES

Pre-Show

• Arrive at your scheduled 4:00pm arrival time

• Dancers must arrive wearing:
  ▪ Showcase T-shirt over Bom Funk cheer uniform or black hot shorts
  ▪ Hair & optional makeup completed
  
  

Once at Erindale Theatre:

• Go to the Sign In desk in the foyer

• Students will be directed or escorted to their dressing room area

• No parents are allowed backstage or in the auditorium during rehearsal

• Parents may wait in the foyer or leave and return for the show

• Snack time during rehearsal – please follow the food guidelines above
  
  

During the Show

• Dressing Room Leaders supervise all dancers backstage

• Dancers will:
  ▪ Receive their costume bag
  ▪ Get changed
  ▪ Take professional photos
  ▪ Perform on stage

• Finale: All dancers return to the stage wearing their Showcase T-shirt to receive a special award and a moment in the spotlight
  
  

After the Show

• Dancers change back into regular clothes

• Costumes remain at the theatre and are collected on the day

• Students are returned to the foyer by their Dressing Room Leader

• Parents meet dancers in the foyer and sign them out

• No parents allowed backstage

REMINDERS & REQUIREMENTS

✅ Arrive on time – dancers must not miss their stage rehearsal

✅ Wear Showcase T-shirt over Bom Funk cheer uniform or black hot shorts

✅ Bring correct dance shoes 

✅ All personal belongings must be clearly labelled

✅ Bring a nut-free, no-spill snack and water only OR canteen money

✅ Only Bom Funk staff and volunteers are allowed backstage

✅ Technical rehearsals replace regular Friday & Saturday classes

✅ All backstage adults have Working With Children Checks

✅ All Bom Funk staff are First Aid trained

✅ Students under 18 must remain inside the venue unless signed out by a parent/guardian
