REHEARSAL SCHEDULE

SATURDAY 22nd  NOVEMBER 2025:  Technical Rehearsal, 

ERINDALE THEATRE

 ~COMPULSORY FOR ALL PERFORMERS TO ATTEND~

KEY TIMES

8:45am – Arrival Time

• All Dance Kingdom Showcase students arrive and meet their Group Leader in the foyer.

• Wear your Showcase T-shirt, with hair and optional makeup completed.

9:00am – Costume Change

• 1 parent accompanies dancer to the dressing room.

• Dancers meet their Fairytale Friend and say goodbye to parents.

• Dancers enter the theatre for rehearsal.

9:15am – Technical Rehearsal on Stage

• No parents permitted in the theatre.

10:30am – Rehearsal Ends

• Dancers taken backstage to prepare for the show.

10:45am – House Opens to Audience

11:00am – SHOWTIME!  Dance Kingdom Showcase – “Winged Wonders”

12:15pm – Show Ends 

• 1 parent to collect dancer backstage from their Group Leader.

• Hand in costume bag and sign out.

IMPORTANT PROCEDURES

Pre-Show

• Arrive on time at 8:45am – free parking available at Erindale Theatre.

• Dancers arrive in Showcase T-shirt with hair & optional makeup completed.

• Pack additional dance shoes and accessories (if in multiple routines) in a named bag.
  
  

At the theatre:

• Sign in at the foyer with your Group Leader – your child will receive an ID wristband.

• Only 1 adult per dancer may enter backstage to help with changing.

• No photos/videos in changing areas.

• Dancers meet their Fairytale Friend and are escorted into the theatre for rehearsal.
  
  

During the Show

• Group Leaders supervise dancers backstage.

• Dancers have professional photos and prepare for their performance.

• Finale: All dancers return to the stage wearing their Showcase T-shirt to receive a special award.
  
  

After the Show

• 1 adult per family goes backstage to collect their belongings & tidy up.

• Hand back costume bag and sign out with Group Leader.
  
  

REMINDERS & REQUIREMENTS

✅ Punctuality is essential – dancers must attend their rehearsal.

✅ Dancers arrive in Showcase T-shirt, with hair & optional makeup done.

✅ Bring correct dance shoes – all footwear must be theatre-approved.

✅ All personal items must be clearly named.

✅ Pack a simple, nut-free, no-spill snack and water only: E.g. Dry biscuits, crackers, dried fruit, cheese sticks.
❌ No yoghurts, dips, or nut products.

OTHER NOTES

• Only 1 adult per dancer allowed backstage before rehearsal and after the show.

• Saturday tech rehearsals replace regular classes.

• Students are under the supervision of Bom Funk staff and volunteers, all with:

  • Working With Children Checks

  • First Aid qualifications

• Students under 18 must remain inside the venue and cannot leave unless signed out by a parent/guardian.

• No collection from backstage until after the show.
