Students schedule steps into their preferred calendar/planner and upload a screenshot or picture to a Canvas assignment.
ACTIVITY
Have all students navigate to the Assignment Calculator on their own devices (see slide in resources for bit.ly and QR code). *Students will have to sign into MyBoiseState to access the Assignment Calculator.
Model choosing assignment, start date, and due date.
THINK-PAIR-SHARE
Give students a few minutes to individually review the suggested steps provided by the Assignment Calculator with these questions in mind:
Which study/prep strategies from the assignment calculator suggestions have you used before? Which worked? Which didn’t?
Have you used other techniques or strategies that weren’t included that worked? What were they?
Ask students to find a partner and discuss the above questions.
Have 2-3 students share to the whole class some of their (or their partner’s) responses to the above questions.
Model Add to Calendar feature of Assignment Calculator, highlighting the ability to change the description of the steps to include some of the strategies they may have discussed.
