Remote Learning

Fire and rage.

Burning growing stronger and hotter

Rage burns brighter and bigger

Eating up things that used to be good,

Making you a useless pile of ash. Just poof and you’re not there!

Eating up water and air and anything in its way.

Loud roar of rage becoming tiring as it gets

Louder and louder till I can’t hear anymore.

Sometimes it’s more like a disease,

It’s contagious and can move from person to person without them knowing,

Slithering in, vapor in your nose, maybe eyes, getting in,

A fire you will know right away, but when it’s like a disease, it can sneak up on you, and drain you slowly.

Cells eating your healthy ones,

Making slow anger do mitosis, doubling, quadrupling,

Till your all filled up with rage,

And not totally destroy so fast, but live and spread and

cough, cough, cough,

One more, sneeze, one more, leaving little rage cells all over the place.

Hangry

Why do humans have to eat?

Sometimes I get tired of needing to.

It’s delicious and enjoyable but annoyingly constant.

I have always wondered that

But then I realized

We need food to grow up

And stay healthy

Protein and minerals and vitamins

And good bacteria not bad bacteria

Can’t be absorbed by just breathing.

Chew and swallow chew and swallow

Cook and prepare and shop or pick.

Sometimes I do wish it was a magical pill.

But then I would miss the the times of friends,

And family together over cooking and eating and talking,

Those things happen around having to eat.

Ode to Beethoven’s Ode to Joy

Sotto voce sotto voce soft voice soft voice

Start out gliding slowly and gently

Then RISE AND RISE AND RISE up high

Then gently float back down and stay low

It’s time to rise, AND RISE, but even higher

Vibrations to make floaty sounds to carry you and lift you

Like waves up then down and up

Again until

KABOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMM!! It’s time for us all to fly

Up as high as we can together

Not a cacophony but harmonious smooth

Melted together and complimentary

Wave of sound that is strong

Wings that fluff up higher and further with each beat!!!

RISE UP RISE UP RISE UP and then gently lowered down

Eventually we glide gently like a feather

Back down and up again a few more times but the

KABOOOOOM is the best because we all do it together!!!!!

Need for Speed

A three toed sloth is hanging from a bamboo

Pole………….

Why is the world so fast, super fast?

A sloth has to be trained to survive in the

Wilderness, sloths must have exercise so they can:

READY SET GOOOOOO, after long and hard

Sports. Sloths like like to gobble their DELICIOUS

FLOWERS.

Why do the flower petals wave in the breeze fast,

Super fast?

Ode to Tech Devices

It is a black rectangle or whatever color you would like it to be.

You can play games on it and look at anything on it.

You can listen to any song or music or sound on it.

And most people may even use it alot.

Everybody is using it right now because of COVID19

A lot of people use it to calm themselves down by listening to music but i am even using it right now to write this poem.

GACKOUT

House cat so squishy but full of sharp sounds

Tick tack tick tack go his talons on the hard floor

As he tip toes from room to room

Tippy toe to the toilet to empty out

To have the zoom zooms after…

Zip zip zippity zap zoom he goes!

No Zoom meeting for him as he’s zippy fast

Gack gack hack gack he goes on the ground

Convulsing his entire body to get the grass out

That’s choking him - gotta get the gack out and go

Zoom zoom
