They have thousands of postal offices around the United States
The postal office separates mail though 3 categories flats a.k.a magazines,letters,and packages.
They deliver mail by address and name.
They separate the flats by weighing and verifying before they are processed into any other machine
The packages barcodes are scanned and a high speed camera reads the address and name on the list and send it into a crate and they are weighed
After sorted they are put in a truck so they can be delivered the correct postal office
They are sorted by address and are ready to be delivered to the corrected address
One of the goals of the postal office is too connect people
The USPS delivers about 1 million letters and packages a day
