Learning Services: Instruction and Assessment

The main focus in September will be spent on getting to know your learner through conversations and observations. Our number one priority for our students is their social and emotional well being.

There will be great temptation to catch students up on a grade level curriculum that was missed due to the disruption to the school year. More than ever, it is extremely important to meet our learners where they are and move them forward from that point on.

Focus for September

• Reconnecting and building positive relationships (refer to Wellness section)

• Supporting growth mindsets

• Creating a positive learning environment

• Focus on structures and routines (using visuals to support all learners)
