Helping students to live a full and honorable life by educating their hearts and minds in a wholesome environment.
The ACT and the SAT are college readiness assessments commonly used for university and college admissions and scholarship decisions. It is advised that a student take one even if they do not intend to continue post secondary education immediately following graduation from high school because the information they are being tested on is still fresh in their minds.
Most schools will accept both. Some have a preference and you should contact the school to find out if they do. It is recommended that a student take the test no earlier than spring of their junior year. Most students take it a second time beginning in the fall of their senior year. There is no penalty for re-takes and only the highest score is evaluated.
Also, all Ben Franklin juniors will take the ACT as a state-mandated testing.
Taken by all 9th graders.
