Standardized Testing
Sending Standardized Test Scores
Please refer to each college’s website for updated requirements on standardized testing as it relates to the admissions process. The RHS transcript does NOT include any standardized test scores (SAT, SAT Subject Tests, ACT). It is YOUR responsibility to have scores sent directly from the College Board or ACT. Before paying to have official scores sent, check to see if your school accepts “self reported scores.” This means that you do not need to pay to “officially” send your scores to that school during the application process. Instead, you will list your scores in the application and those scores will be evaluated when colleges review your application. For all other schools, you must pay for scores to be sent directly to your schools from the testing service. For the schools that require official test scores, the college admissions office will consider your application to be incomplete if they are not received directly from the testing service.
The Ridge High School CEEB Code is 310050 (for use when registering for standardized tests).
SATs
Score Choice: Only the scores from test dates that the students select will be reported. Please consult individual college websites for their rules and regulations regarding score choice (some schools do not allow students to utilize score choice).
At the time of registering for the SAT/Subject Tests, up to four colleges can be selected to receive scores at no cost.
Please allow ample time for your scores to be delivered (4-5 weeks prior to the deadline when possible).
Rush reporting is available for an additional fee, however some schools do not accept rushed scores.

ACTs
Please allow ample time for your scores to be delivered (4-5 weeks prior to the deadline when possible).
Priority Reports (only to locations within the US) are “processed within two working days after your request” and “usually delivered three to four business days later.” These are mailed and are simply a notification that an official report is following. As a result, we do not recommend using Priority Reports as they do not qualify as official scores.

AP Score Reporting information can be found online. Generally these are sent after the student has enrolled in a particular college to receive credit for the courses taken, not as part of the application process. If you wish to include your junior year scores as part of your application, please discuss this with your counselor.
Test Optional Schools
“Test optional” means students can choose whether to submit their SAT scores with their applications. “Test blind” means the university does not accept scores in the application process. Over 1,600 schools have announced test-optional admissions for Fall 2022 admissions cycle.
