Name Writing with Mini Marshmallows
Contruction paper
Maker, crayon or pencil
Glue
Mini marshmallows
Write your child’s name in large letters on construction paper
Have your child trace the letters with the glue
Have your child put mini marshmallows over the glue to make the letters and spell their name
Practice identifying the letters in your child’s name.

How did Little Nell feel before she made her snowman?
How did she feel after she made her snowman with her friends?
Did she feel better?
Was she proud of herself?
Make a snow man following directions
Help your child to
Trace 3 different sized circles (small, medium and large) out of white paper.
Cut out all 3 circles
Get another sheet of construction paper- maybe blue or black
Have your child follow these directions to make a snowman.
Put biggest circle on the bottom of the paper
And glue onto paper
Put middle size circle on top of biggest circle and glue onto paper
Put smallest circle on top and glue down.
Then have your child draw:
Draw Hat on top of small circle
Draw two eyes
Draw one nose
Draw on mouth
Draw two arms
Draw a scarf below small circle.
Make your own snow man.
If cold enough and there is snow, go outside with your child and make a snow man.
If not you can make a snow man from play dough.
Help your child roll three size snowballs and build the snow man.
Talk about how the three balls/circles are three different sizes (small, medium and large)

Encourage siblings to join games for peer interaction.
Use positive praise during activities to increase participation
