Communication Development
Can you remember all of the sea creatures in the hole in the bottom of the sea?
Can you name all six animals in the song?
Sing the Animals in the Ocean and move like these animals!
Sing and do the motions to Baby Shark!
Strategies to use this week:
Give your child wait time when you ask a question or give a direction to give them time to process the question/information.
Be positive and have fun with these activities. When your child is listening to a story make sure they are attending to speaker.
Use âFirst-Thenâ with visuals to help complete nonpreferred tasks before preferred tasks. First clean up, then it is time to play cars.
Have your child request for items needed for crafts or activities.
Practice turn taking. Have your child work on taking turns, waiting their turn and practice using phrase like âmy turnâ and âyour turn.â
Work on following directions and waiting for directions to be given.

Here is a fun fish craft for you to complete with your learner! All you need is a paper plate, scissors to cut out a triangle on the one side to create the mouth and fin and either paint, glue, markers or crayons or tissue paper to decorate your fish. If you have aluminum foil you can even give your fish some shiny scales by tearing up the foil to create scales to make your fish look like the rainbow fish!
Works on: cutting skills, following directions, requesting items needed, what do we cut with? What makes things stick to the paper?Â
