Leaf Sorting Activity
Go out and collect leaves with your child.
Sort the leaves by color, shape and size.
Count how many you have in each pile.
Which has the most?
Which has the least?

Fall Leaf Requesting Activity
Draw a picture of a tree trunk on a piece of paper for your child
Cut out leaves from different colored paper or collect various leaves outside.
You will need a glue stick or glue bottle.
Have your child ask for a certain colored leaf:
I want the orange leaf
I want the red leaf
I want the yellow leaf
I want the green leaf
I want the brown leaf
I want the big leaf
I want the little leaf
Let your child glue the leaves to their tree. Continue until the tree is full.

Leaf Rubbing Activity
Go outside with your child to find some leaves on the ground. Try to find different shapes and sizes.
White Paper
Crayons
Have your child put the leaf under the white paper.
Have them hold the paper down with their hand
Use the side of a crayon to rub across the paper.
Watch as the leaf appears.
Continue with different leaves and different colored crayons.
