Swipe UP from the bottom of your screen (your "dock") to see which apps you have installed.
If you don't see Zoom, search for it in the search bar.
1. Once you're in the app, go to the "Sign In" screen. You MUST be signed into Zoom in order to join your class meetings.
2. Make sure that the "Keep me logged in" box is checked
3. Select "Sign in with SSO"
4. Enter "berkeleycarroll" on this screen. Make sure you are spelling Berkeley Carroll right!
5. Sign in with your Berkeley Carroll email address & password
Once this screen appears, you have logged in successfully. Try your class Zoom link again.
Try entering the Meeting ID & Password manually, under "Join a Meeting." Your teacher SHOULD have posted this information in Google Classroom, OR on your Google Calendar invitation. If you cannot find it, email Ms. Aronofsky, or tech support with the name of the teacher & class you are trying to enter.
Open your Chromebook camera, or a website like FlipGrid that uses the camera. If it is working, then you'll know whether it is a camera, or Zoom issue.
1. Turn your Chromebook off with the on-screen power button
2. Turn it back on using the side button
Follow the steps on this page to update the Chrome version on your Chromebook
Try These Steps:
Unplugging & replugging in your home Internet router (You might want to ask your parents before you do this)
Moving somewhere in your house where the Internet connection may be stronger
If it is possible, see if you can stop other streaming (like Netflix), or video gaming that might be happening in your house
If you are restricted from joining a Zoom meeting, follow these steps to troubleshoot, & make sure you are properly signed into Zoom.
If you follow all of these steps, and are still not able to join a meeting then email your teacher and Ms. Aronofsky at: maronofsky@berkeleycarroll.org (be sure to attach a screenshot of the error message!)
For Upper School Chromebook issues, email Mr. Mabry at: tmabry@berkeleycarroll.org
