Flipgrid is an app (on iPad) or website (on Chromebook) that allows you to record a video response to a question, or prompt your teacher asks. Your answers can be viewed by the other people in your class, as well as your teacher.
Flipgrids can be used for schoolwork. Some examples include:
Responses to class readings
Daily video journals
Practicing language skills
But it can also be used for fun. Your teacher might create a Flipgrid for you to:
Wish your classmate a happy birthday
Share a poem, piece of writing, or artwork that you created
Think of the "Grid" like your Classroom. Your teacher will invite you to be a part of their Grid, and then there will be different topics, or questions, in the Grid for you to respond to.
Join a class Grid either directly through the link, or with the Flip Code your teacher provides you. Remember to log in with your BC email address when you're prompted
Once you've joined a class Grid, you can start responding to the questions, or "Topics" that your teacher has asked you to answer.
Find the question you're answering & read the directions carefully
Record your video responding to the question
Snap a selfie (last step) to post it!
Once you've recorded your answer, you can view the answers of everyone else who has responded! Just click on their response "Selfies" to view their videos!
