We would like to remind all parents and carers that the safety of our children remains our absolute priority, particularly during the busy drop-off and pick-up periods. Please ensure you adhere strictly to the 5mph speed limit while on site and only use the designated hatched areas for crossing. Crossing elsewhere creates significant risks for both pedestrians and drivers.
Parents and carers are also reminded that vehicles using the drop-off bays must face towards Snowfields Academy to keep traffic moving safely. Vehicles must not be parked at the end of rows, and the drop-off bays in front of the academy hall are for drop-off only between 8:20 and 8:30am
Regrettably, we have also received reports of unacceptable confrontations between drivers, including verbal altercations and inappropriate gestures. It is deeply saddening that such behavior has taken place in front of our pupils and other families. This conduct does not align with our school values and will not be tolerated. Please be advised that we are monitoring the situation closely, and any parents identified as engaging in such behaviours may face a formal consequence as stated in our Parent Code of Conduct Policy.
Even more concerning are reports that some parents continue to park at Invicta Court Care Home, despite repeated reminders in our newsletters. This creates a serious safety risk, particularly if emergency vehicles are unable to access the site due to blocked entrances or exits. Staff at Invicta Court Care Home should not be subjected to abuse when they are simply enforcing clearly signed parking restrictions.
A heartfelt thank you to the majority of our community for their continued support in helping us keep our site, including the car park, a calm, safe environment for all.

Inspire your child to get active and represent Leigh Academy Bearsted in the world-renowned TCS Mini London Marathon on Saturday, 25 April 2026! This free event offers pupils the chance to run, jog, walk, or wheel a one-mile (Reception to Year 7) or 2.6K (Year 4+) route, finishing on the iconic Mall. Not only will every participant receive a finisher's medal, but the academy will also receive a £10 donation from TCS for every student who crosses the line, helping us invest in new PE or IT equipment.

It is time to get active and creative. We are thrilled to remind you that our full range of after-school clubs begins next week.
As shared in our communications, we have a special new partner joining us for Module 3 and 4. Sunflower Drama Club will be hosting sessions right here at the academy. Whether your child is a budding star or just looking to have fun and make new friends, this is a wonderful opportunity.
Please see the attached flyer for information on Sunflower Drama Club and how to secure a spot.
We would like to inform parents and carers that we are continuing to review and update a number of academy policies. This work is important to ensure our policies remain clear, robust, and aligned with our values.
Updated policies will be shared with all parents and carers in due course.
We value our partnership with parents and carers and welcome feedback. Once the policies have been shared, any questions or comments should be directed to Mrs Ranger via email at cro@bearsted.latrust.org.uk. All queries will be responded to through a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) document.
A full list of our academy term dates can be found on our website.
The Key Dates 2025-2026 document is now available to all parents and carers to view . This list will be subject to change, as dates may be added or amended if required.
