In year 2 this week, we have continued to explore the development of transport by creating a detailed timeline to sequence important events and inventions. This helped the children understand how travel has changed over time. A particular highlight was an inspiring visit from the SLM Group, who shared fascinating information about the history of cars and how they have evolved throughout the years. The children were captivated as they watched, via a virtual link, how cars are assembled in a factory. They then took part in thoughtful and creative discussions about what cars of the future might look like, considering both imaginative ideas and practical features.
In RE, we learned about Muslim beliefs surrounding the story of creation, encouraging respectful discussion and helping pupils understand different worldviews. In maths, we continued developing our addition and subtraction skills, with a focus on exchanging to strengthen confidence and accuracy. Throughout the week, the children have really enjoyed some thought provoking discussions and have really excelled at being reflective thinkers- Excellent work Year 2!
