This week, Year One have been amazing story writers! Using our story mountains, the children learned how to structure the main parts of a story and created their own wonderful tales about The Red Crayon going on an exciting adventure to either the jungle or under the sea. Their ideas, imagination, and growing confidence in writing have been brilliant to see.
In Art, we were inspired by Mr Doodle and his joyful flower artwork. The children absolutely loved creating their own pieces using doodles, filling their pages with personality, patterns, and creativity.
In Maths, we explored 2D and 3D shapes, learning about their properties and spotting everyday examples all around us. The children enjoyed handling real objects, describing the shapes, and sharing what they noticed.
A busy week of creativity, imagination, and discovery — well done, Year One!
