Reception

This week in Reception has been a wonderfully busy and creative one! In our inquiry time, we celebrated the ways we can use art to express our thoughts and feelings, consolidating our learning so far. The children were captivated by the story 'The Jolly Postman', which inspired us to set up engaging Post Office role-play areas in our classrooms. We have loved writing and posting our special letters to Santa, officially sending them off to the North Pole! In maths, we consolidated our learning into numbers 4 and 5, exploring them through finding, sorting, subitising, and representing them in different ways. Furthermore, the classrooms have been buzzing with excitement during our Christmas show rehearsals, practicing our singing and dancing—we are all looking forward to sharing our performance with you next week!
