Year One

This week, Year One children have been busy producing some wonderful learning across the curriculum. Following on from writing our postcards from the Bear in New York City, the children added beautiful illustrations to the fronts, remembering to include the towering skyscrapers and bright, dazzling lights that make the city so iconic. Their attention to detail and creativity have really shone through.

In Maths, we have been continuing our work on subtraction using tens frames, counters and number lines. The children even created their own number lines and used them to practically ‘count back’ to solve number sentences. They showed great focus, perseverance and enthusiasm — fantastic work, Year One!
