Dear Parents and Carers,
Our seasonal performances will take place during the week beginning Monday 8th December 2025.
We are offering two performance times per year group: 10:00am and 1:30pm. For Little Bears parents, only a 10:00am performance will be available. This decision reflects the feedback gathered by Mrs Bunce and her team through recent communications sent via Google Classroom.
Please use the attached form to select the performance time you wish to attend.
Important notice on capacity: Due to limited space in the hall, there is a strict limit of two adults per child for the performance you select.
We kindly ask that you complete this form as soon as possible to ensure a fair and efficient allocation of spaces.
Please ensure you submit your response no later than 9:00am on Friday 5th December 2025.
Kind regards,
Leigh Academy Bearsted
Dear Parents and Carers,
We are delighted to invite you to our Christmas Crafternoons, taking place throughout the last week of December. Each class will be hosting an afternoon of festive craft activities, and we warmly welcome parents and carers to join their child for this special event.
To help us prepare appropriately—and to ensure we have accurate registers in the event of a fire—please use the form linked below to let us know whether you plan to attend your child's Crafternoon.
Important notice on capacity: Due to space and safety requirements in classrooms, we are not able to accomodate more than one adult per child. For families with co-parenting responsibilities, please contact the academy directly.
We kindly request that you complete this form to sign up.
Kind regards,
Leigh Academy Bearsted
In this week's PYP update, we look at how the programme supports pupils to develop international mindedness. International mindedness is a key element of the PYP. It is about developing an understanding of the world around us and an appreciation of different cultures and perspectives. Through the PYP, children are encouraged to become active and engaged global citizens who are able to make a positive contribution to the world. We are committed to supporting our children develop international mindedness by:
Providing opportunities to learn about different cultures and perspectives
Encouraging children to reflect on their own cultural values and beliefs
Promoting respect and understanding between people from different backgrounds
The academy will be putting together a new display to celebrate our diverse cohort. If you have any photographs that you would be willing to share of pupils in their home countries, please could you send them into the CRO email (cro@bearsted.latrust.org.uk). These photos will be added to our display to showcase and celebrate where we all come from and how we have respect and understanding for all.
We are pleased to provide an initial glance at the educational trips and visitor programmes scheduled for the 2025-2026 academic year. These planned activities support and enrich our core curriculum across all key stages. We encourage you to review the provisional calendar below. Full details for each event will be shared with the relevant year groups nearer the time of their proposed trips.
Please note that some events may change as this is a proposed calendar at this stage.
A full list of our academy term dates can be found on our website.
The Key Dates 2025-2026 document is now available to all parents and carers to view . This list will be subject to change, as dates may be added or amended if required.
