On Thursday 27th November, the Year 5/6 boys’ football team took part in a friendly match against Leigh Academy Oaks.
The boys showed great athleticism and strong teamwork throughout what proved to be a very close game. Although the opposition secured a narrow 2–1 win, James (Year 5) scored a brilliant goal, helping to make it a positive and exciting experience for many of the players.
Well done to Georgi, Mirren, Harry, James, Zac, Callum, Daniel, River, Leo, and Blake for their hard work and commitment.
A big thank you also goes to Callum, a Year 10 student from Leigh Academy Snowfields, who refereed the match. He communicated effectively and ensured the game was enjoyable for everyone.
Our next fixture—an away match against Leigh Academy Langley Park—has now been confirmed:
Date: Monday 8th December 2025
Venue: Leigh Academy Langley Park
