Save the Date: Camp Know How 2024

Campers, pack your bags! It’s time for Camp Know How!

Camp Know How will be a hybrid event, featuring face-to-face sessions at TCMS and virtual sessions, celebrating all the ways digital learning can engage students as well as enhance and extend content instruction.  This event will be held on June 6, 2024. With sessions available each hour, participants can attend one or many, customizing their non-required workday experience.

Keep an eye out for registration details arriving in your inbox during the first week of May. You'll also receive a Google Drive-In RSVP form, where you can sign up for our Google Drive-In lunch session, including complimentary pizza. At this session, our digital learning specialists will assist you in organizing your Google Apps, such as Drive, Calendar, Gmail, and beyond!

Each month, the BCS Digital Learning Team will highlight a Tech-Tip that we find to be especially valuable and practical.

This month, the team has selected: Google Take-out

 One Book One School

By Wendy Robertson, UES SLMC

This year Union Elementary students and families participated in the One Book One School program for the first time. Students were tasked with reading the book A Boy Called BAT with their families nightly.  Students also participated in book themed activities and completed the A Boy Called Bat Bingo Board. Students who completed the Bingo Board received a food coupon from local businesses. The school was challenged to read 10,000 chapters. Students turned in their reading slips daily. Their daily reading also helped students earn points for their House. The One Book One School program was a HUGE success at Union and will become a yearly reading activity for our school!
