INTERACTIVE PANELS

Need to Know

Brunswick County Schools is committed to making sure that teachers have access to technology to effectively teach our students.  As part of the technology plan, interactive panels are maintained by the technology department with a focused plan to keep the technology up to date.  Currently, the boards are on a 10 year replacement cycle.  Once an interactive panel reaches that age, it is slated for replacement with the most current technology.  As a result, we presently support the following types of interactive panels in our schools: Boxlight and Newline.

Interactive panels can be used in a variety of ways during lessons including:

Teacher-led instruction

Small group instruction

Student centers

Station rotation

Teaching & Learning Tips

Need to work on something while students see a different displayed task?  Extend the Display!

When working at the panel connected to your laptop or desktop, you may need quick access to a floating keyboard if you need to type at the panel.

So there is no need to go back to the computer, pin the Windows floating keyboard to your task bar for quick access!

While there are 3 brands of interactive panels in our schools, due to our licensing with the company, SMART notebook software can be used on all of them! Below are some tips for using this software to annotate and capture notes during instruction - both in-person & remote.
