Always use Grammarly. Because we are using the free version and because artificial intelligence is not perfect, you will need to double and triple check your work. The free version does NOT fix simple capitalization mistakes. It is your job to do this.

Hemingwayapp identifies hard to read sentences with a red highlight. Focus on those sentences. Add periods to the end of thoughts. Double check every use of and in your writing. Replace it the word and with a period and, as necessary, add words to make the sentences complete. I believe that Hemingwayapp is not effective with short writing samples.

Suggestion, make sure that Grammarly is turned on. Then use Hemingwayapp to identify potential run-ons and fix errors. To learn how to use the app, click here.
