1. From Google Classroom, click the Google Apps in the upper right corner.
2. Select New.
3. Click on More.
4. Select Sites.
In header of the website, select the text.
Type a title to say who owns this website.
Repeat in the upper right corner.
Return to our Google Classroom Classwork page.
Open assignment #010 Student Blog & Website.
Select View assignment.
In the upper right corner, select Add or create.
Since you just create the Google Site, it will appear first. Click on it.
Do NOT turn the Site in or you will NOT be able to add anything to it.
In the sidebar on the right, there are three tabs - Insert, Pages, and Themes.
Select Themes.
Click on the different choices and options to find a design you like.
When I move my cursor around the header, new options appear.
Select Header type.Â
Try each one and select your favorite.
Now select Image. What are your choices? Select your favorite.
On the white space, click once for a menu to appear or select an option in the right sidebar under Insert.
Type what you want. For example, type "This is Who I Am" for a title and write a sentence or two in the next text box.
Insert images, videos, or maps to add support your writing.
Select Publish.
Because you added a title in the upper left corner, a suggestion for a name will appear.
You, a student, should use Only people in Bakersfield City School District can view.
Select Publish.
At the end of each blogging sessions, always select Publish. Think of it as a Save button from the dinosaur age.
