Students will be shown various styles/patterns of wrapping. You will have 2 large rocks ( 4-6" length) and 2 medium rocks (3-4"). There will be many choices of wrapping materials in different colors/sizes, including reed, cane, leather and cotton cording, waxed linen, seagrass, etc. Many found objects will be available for embellishment. These make a beautiful statement on a coffee table or shelf.

Show everyone that you're a basket weaver when you sign your name. Students will bead a flat panel in 11/0 Japanese Delica beads in an even count peyote stitch and sew it into a tube and slide it onto a pen. A good project for beaders and non-beaders.

Learn how to make these fun Diagonal Weave Tubes with strips of hand-painted watercolor paper. Add a mini battery operated light to make them sparkle, use as an ornament or display several in a glass bowl. Class kit includes a pattern, tool to add shaping, and material to make 3 tubes in a variety of colors. Students should bring sharp scissors.
Prerequisite: Diagonal plaiting experience is helpful.

This is an easy little hanging basket that will certainly dress up your patio or sun porch. Using a simple twining weave and also a 3-fold twining weave for the basic weave throughout the basket. The next weave is called a Japanese diamond weave and it is the eye-catching center of this basket. A very simple basket with lots of style.

This basket is full of interesting details. It starts with alternating spokes in two different colors and sizes. Choose red and green spokes for the winter holidays, or red and blue for the summer holidays. The triple twining is done in 3 colors that spiral around the base. The twill is woven with natural to show off the dyed spokes. It is woven over a class mold.

Start on a wood base with the spokes glued in prior to class, choose your favorite color to learn triple twine with a step up. Using dyed chair cane, chase weave up the sides - the dyed chair cane adds a great marbled effect. The interesting embellishment of Lark's head knots are also made with dyed cane. Use the dyed cane and round reed to compliment the rim. Add a handle for easy carrying.

This basket was designed to carry tools that are essential when you travel and it is not too big to weigh you down at convention. It is woven with black and natural reed. After the basket is finished, you will weave in a "measuring tape" ribbon. The Amish crafted base will have spokes glued in and weaver-ready. The charm is included in the kit.

Students will learn to set up and weave a Nantucket using cane stakes and weavers. A basic over under pattern will be woven into the basket. Basket will be woven over a tin mold for class use. Handle will be attached with bone knobs and a little shovel will be tied on to accent the little pail. Basket will be finished off with a slip-on rim. Base and rim and handle will be prefinished cherry.

This lovely bracelet is woven on a metal blank with two colors of cane, natural and color of your choice. The chevrons on each side point up to the center of the bracelet where X marks the spot. You will learn a 4 row repeat twill pattern. You will also learn about cane and a couple of tips to have a fantastic adjustable bracelet. You can select your spoke color choice.

This basket incorporates techniques and material for the advanced beginner to increase their skills. Insert spokes into an oval oak base and bring up the sides, learning to keep the rounded oval sides straight up. Weave a combination of 2 sizes of reed and dyed bleached cane in the center. Weave the decorative Xs with 2 sizes and colors of bleached cane. Glue spokes to the rim and lash with waxed cord.
