Start on a square open-weave base and lace on corner spokes. Get a domed cathead-style base and rounded sides using an upright weaving technique and a continuous weave and skip stitch. The 3-point braid corner treatment weaves with bleached cane. The handle is secured using a bead, screw and nut after the rimming is completed. Instructor will drill holes and attach.

Starting on a wood base with your favorite color-dyed spokes, weave this double wall basket with a striking diagonal weave on the inside and outside walls. Slender willow stakes woven together in ti-twine fashion form the square or rectangular base. Special paper cording (many colors available) or fine cane is used for ti-twining. The final shaping is up to the student's imagination.
