by Greg Barense
There is a couple who's quite nice.
Answering to the name of Buis.
We've known them for many years.
Through the laughter and the tears.
They have a cottage down South Haven way.
Where we often visit and have a nice day.
We eat and laugh and goof around.
Until at night when the sun goes down.
Tom often takes us for a boat ride.
Down the channel we do glide.
We see sights, boats and girls and such.
Although I'm not one to look that much.
Sometimes we'll go and see a show.
The girls would pick em and away we'd go.
After the show we'd get some meata.
Which was hard to digest after watching Evita.
It was in the year of 93.
The Buis and Barense went out to sea.
You wouldn't think it if you ever see em.
They became sailors on the Caribbean.
Some people thought Tom quite pompous.
When he guided the ship with his little compass.
I thought he did a heck of a job.
I don't understand why the captain did sob.
In 96 there was a consciences.
The Barense and Buis would sail the Royal Princess.
They dined in style and ate a lot.
Although 2 helpings is all they got.
In Cozummel Tom did snorkel some.
The beach crowd thought he was the one.
With his powerful strokes and feet a kicking.
The beach girls impressed with his muscles a repelling.
Sometimes the Barense and Buis unite.
We have our families over which is quite a sight.
Everyone eats and laughs with much ado.
With Tom and Greg the kings of horseshoe.
Knowing Tom and Sharon has been a treat.
In my life I never thought I'd meet.
Two people who are so much fun.
With a sense of humor that's number one.
The End
