It all started in nineteen forty seven.
She thought he died and went to heaven.
The twenty ninth was warm and sunny.
Twas on that day Snoops became a mommy.
Her first kid grew straight and true.
Looked like the beginning of a crew.
Now would she ever want another one.
Yes,, since she was having so much fun.
She now had sons called Doug and Greg.
Would she lay another egg.
Yes, a little girl called Paula Sue.
Now she had her middle two.
Her family grew day and night.
She always prayed she'd do things right.
But soon ole Dad dropped another bomb.
Soon she had a son called Tom.
They all looked healthy and fair.
She even found time to comb their hair.
Mamma's need patience and virtue.
Also antiseptic when they had the flu.
With all those kids there's things to do.
She felt like a trainer in a zoo.
She observes each one without dismay.
And straightens their clothes when in disarray.
Mom gave her love to one and all.
Even if you were six feet tall.
She gave and gave and then some more.
Another meal and then back to the store.
If you did wrong to her chagrin.
She might threaten to turn you in.
She might tell Dad to keep you on edge.
But you could get off if you ate your spinach.
When you came home she was always there.
Ready to listen to every care.
Advice was free and given with love.
Often you thought as a voice above.
So on this wonderful Mother's day.
We owe a ton of debts we can't repay.
So when it comes to time to pay the bill.
We Love you always and always will.
The End
