Mother nature has many creatures.
Some which have unique features.
I like birds that chirp and tweet.
Their assorted colors are to beat.
So I went to the store downtown.
And bought a bird feeder that hung off the ground.
It was squirrel proof I was assured.
And what I paid was quite absurd.
I hung it by my window bay.
For my feathered friends to eat each day.
It glistened in the sun so shiny and bright.
With birds around, it would be a sight.
Now it was hung and the work was done.
Filled with feed for the birds to come.
I never saw so many tweeters.
Boy those guys are messy eaters.
There's the Cardinal and the Chickadee.
They'll eat anything that's free.
The Bluejay and the Mourning Dove.
Seldom do they push or shove.
The canary is very bright and yellow.
He makes a very interesting fellow.
The Dark Eyed Junco comes around.
And laughs at the Titmouse, whose a clown.
Often they battle for position.
You'd think that they were on a mission.
As humans we'd be awful rude.
If we chirped and squabbled over bird food.
If I could be the bird of my choice.
Id want to be the one with deepest voice.
With puffed up feathers and muscular legs.
At least I wouldn't be pushed off my pegs.
If I was a bird for a while.
To be colorful would be my style.
To make a few bucks would be my quest.
I'd get a Nike Swoosh upon my chest.
The End
