by Greg Barense
Years ago Hess dropped a bomb.
In 46 she became a Mom.
A blond haired girl, she named her Christy.
Just seeing her would make you misty.
Years later when things seemed quite tame.
Twas on that day that Charles came.
Born black haired and bearded at the time.
They thought that he'd do just fine.
Then one day during a thunder storm.
She got another son called Norm.
Smart as a whip with some knowledge.
She couldn't believe he'd end up in college.
She'd help them pick out clothes.
Many times she'd blow their nose.
When tears would flow she'd always be there.
Mom would even comb Chucks' hair.
One day Mom thought she hit a wall.
When she met Greg her son in law.
Is he for real or just a dream?
Mom thought she'd let him on her team.
Kind and gentile and always sharing.
Standing up for the truth she is quite daring.
Should I say and be so bold?
I think the Lord must have broke the mold.
Once in a lifetime a Mom comes along.
One whose love is free and strong.
It's you Mom, your the one.
Who makes life worth living and so much fun.
So on this Mothers Day.
I have just one thing to say.
Even though were sometimes apart.
We love you always in our heart.
The End
