Distinguishing Physical Properties:
This obviously has a metallic luster, and has a brassy or "gold" appearance.
The crystals are common, they can be cubes and/or octahedrons, and even some cube-octahedron combinations. Parallel lines (or striations) across the crystal faces are common.
If you streak this mineral it is usually dark grey to black with a greenish tinge.
