General Music: All students in grades 3 - 6 take one period of music class with the music teachers.
Elementary Band: Students in grades 4, 5, and 6 may take instrumental music lessons during the school day. Instruments must be supplied by the parent who can rent through a program provided by the school. Books and equipment such as reeds, oil, etc., are the responsibility of the parent. Students are selected by the Band director, for Beginner or Advanced Band from students taking lessons. Band members perform in the annual winter and spring concerts. Band meets before school at 7:40 a.m., once a week and is considered an extracurricular activity.
Elementary Choir: Students in grades 5 and 6 may wish to participate in Choir. Choir members are selected by the vocal music teacher. Choir members perform in the annual winter and spring concerts. Choir meets before school at 7:40 a.m. once a week and is considered an extracurricular activity. Students in grades 3 and 4 may also participate in choir. This is an after school activity with rehearsals once a week in the spring.
Awards for participating in Band and/or Choir are given at the annual school awards assembly.
