Traditionally referred to as Wood Shop. This course is aimed at any student interested in learning about the world of work. The students will learn how to work with a variety of machines and processes found in the carpentry trades. During this course students will learn how to plan, select and use materials, including tools and machines to produce a finished product. Emphasis will be on safety and quality of workmanship.
Mechatronics
Mechatronics is a combination of mechanical engineering and electronics. Students get an insight as to what industry is looking for out of our up and coming graduates. By giving them knowledge of; pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical, mechanical, and basic engineering through such units as underwater ROV, near space satellites, drones and rocketry. Students create, construct, and problem solve while exploring a wide variety of STEM related topics.
