Online Modules
Overview
Each module is equivalent to 3.5 hours of professional development
Complete two modules for a $150 stipend
Online modules for technology can be completed at any time throughout the school year. They are designed for certificated and instructional paraeducator staff.
Submissions are reviewed by Department of Technology Instructional Staff, who will provide feedback on assignments.
Classified staff may complete the modules for Verification Hours instead of clock hours.
Once per year, instructional staff may complete two new modules for a $150 stipend.
Staff may complete as many modules for clock hours and verification hours as they wish.

Online Modules
FCS/New to ASD Online Module
Target Audience: Certificated and Instructional Classified
In this module staff will:
develop basic understanding of the essential Google products used within the Auburn School District (Chrome Browser & Google Drive)
access their individual Google Drive space and their district email
understand basic elements of technology and email protocols to be successful in their role
Digital Citizenship
Target Audience: Certificated
In this module staff will:
understand and communicate the importance of digital citizenship for the teacher and student
research and synthesize various perspectives on digital citizenship around their interests and teaching assignment
understand and communicate digital citizenship around cyber bullying
create a lesson or lessons around digital citizenship for his/her teaching assignment.
Seesaw
Target Audience: K-2 Certificated (Seesaw Pioneers need not apply)
In this module staff will:
access Seesaw through the Clever portal
learn how to utilize Seesaw posts and activities to create engaging and empowering activities for students
discover the shared Seesaw library among the school district and learn how to post an activity to the library
Google Classroom
Target Audience: Certificated and Instructional Classified
In this module staff will:
customize a Google classroom using a variety of tools to better support student engagement (self-made banner, announcements, questions and assignments
locate and manage student submitted assignments
identify strategies for effective use of the Google Classroom learning management system
K-5 STEM
Target Audience: K-5 Certificated
In this module staff will:
develop understandings of STEM concepts and how they impact K-5 learning
research pathways available for students toward obtaining skillsets needed to be successful in STEM careers
plan, deliver and reflect upon a STEM lesson to students
6-12 STEM
Target Audience: 6-12 Certificated
In this module staff will:
develop understandings of STEM concepts and how they impact 6-12 learning across content areas
access STEM activities to gather resources to use with students or with other educators
research pathways available for students toward obtaining skillsets needed to become successful STEM literate change agents
