Vision, Values & Aims
At Kemnay, we are all PART of the family and we place emotional wellbeing at the heart of learning. We inspire all to persevere and be resilient, aspire to be the best you can be, be respectful and work as part of a team as we develop responsible citizens, confident individuals, successful life-long learners, and effective contributors.
Our Kemnay Primary School values are extended by our Wellbeing values (Safe, Healthy, Achieving, Nurtured, Active, Respected, Responsible and Inclusive) in line with the Scottish Government’s ‘Getting it right for every child’ (GIRFEC) approach to supporting children and young people.
Our principles ensure that every child:
Cultivates kindness and respect, fostering compassion, humility, and integrity.
Assumes responsibility and acquires the confidence and leadership skills necessary to thrive in a dynamic, global environment, while also fostering independence and agency.
Attains an active and inquisitive nature, evolving into a resilient, enthusiastic, and curious learner fully engaged in purposeful learning to achieve individually and contribute meaningfully to society.
Cultivates a nurturing and inclusive mindset, feeling supported and heard, while also respecting the needs of others to foster open-mindedness within and beyond our community.
Maintains a safe and healthy lifestyle, gaining the knowledge to grow physically, socially, and emotionally, in the pursuit of happiness and fulfilment.
