On Your Marks

Now that you have learned all about database you are going to help use a database to record some information about pupil test marks.  Your teacher will use the database you create as evidence of your database skills.

Your teacher will give you a copy of the On Your Marks worksheet via Google Classroom.  Alternately, you can make a copy of the file below and upload it to your teacher, including screenshots of your work

In order to achieve level 2 you will need to show that:

• You choose suitable field names

• You can choose suitable data types

• You can create a table design in a database

• You can accurately add information to a database

In order to achieve level 3 you will need to show that:

• You can create a simple database, as outlined at level 2

• You can add key fields

• You can analyse what fields to use in a database from a text description

• You can comment on the relations between bits of information
