Extra Practice: A Website of Your Own

You are now going to design and create a website of your own, on a topic of your own choice. It should include everything you have learned so far, including audio and video. You can also investigate other HTML features that you have not yet learned as well if you want.

Choose a topic for your website. Check with your teacher if it is suitable. Some ideas include:

• Your favourite band or singer
• A TV show
• A movie
• A computer game

Design

Create a design for your website. It should include the following:

• A structure diagram showing all the pages of the website and how they relate to each other, as well as any external links
• Wireframes of each page showing layout and formatting to be used, as well as the location of any external hyperlinks

Your design should include at least four pages. Show your teacher your design once you are finished.

Implement

Using your design, implement your website using HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Source any media files required for you website as appropriate

Testing

Test your website by:

• Checking all the links work
• Checking the pages match the wireframes
• Checking all media displays correctly
