Course Information

In S1 all learners have one timetabled period of S1 Creative Experience per week, which focuses on Music Technology skills. Opportunities to incorporate Music Technology may also be offered as part of their Music lessons.

In S2 all learners have one timetabled period of Music per week, with an Animation unit included in Term 2. They have the opportunity to develop Music Technology skills as a masterclass area and as part of a group project in the Creative Arts Enrichment block. 

From S3 onwards, learners can select Music Technology (and/or Music) as one of their course choices. Learners undertake practical work in class using GarageBand. While they are expected to complete homework, they do not need to have any specialist recording or editing and mixing equipment at home.
