Classroom expectations for Senior Phase Art and Design pupils include full attendance to ensure the required hours are met for SQA coursework. If a pupil is absent, it is expected that they catch up on any work they have missed by liaising with their class teacher or via work on Google Classroom.
Senior Phase pupils should ensure that all assignments are completed on time and deadlines are met. It is important that Senior Phase pupils regularly communicate with their class teacher and seek clarification when needed, as well as strive to constantly improve and refine one's artistic skills.
All classes will have access to classroom learning via Google Classroom. Revision materials are available online or as paper copies when required.
There are many opportunites for formal study sessions throughout the year which are available throughout the academic session. Pupils are expected to attend regularly to achieve a good pass. The department encourages pupils to use these sessions if they have any outstanding portfolio work or homework that needs to be completed.
