As a requirement of our program, students are required to take US 1001 in the fall of their first semester with either Beth or Claire. This course is meant to support you in your transition to college, teach you about ACCESS, and help you build community with your ACCESS peers.
Please note: If you are an App State Online student or a Hickory student, you will take a College Success Seminar course with someone else.
This course is not required for ACCESS students, but is an optional course. ACCESS Juniors and Seniors have the opportunity to take a class cotaught by Beth and Claire that discusses the transition from college to career. In this course, we help you prepare the materials you will need to get a job and teach you skills to hopefully help you be successful in your job search. This is an in-person Spring only course.
