LibreTexts ADAPT is an open homework system that allows you to use any openly licensed questions already in the library or to create traditional quiz-type questions, interactive questions (through Libre Studio), equations, or to pull in equations from MyOpenMath.
Los Rios has an API connection to ADAPT, which allows you to pull the content into Canvas, where auto-graded material also pushes through to the gradebook. "Check your knowledge" questions can also be embedded into a LibreTexts textbook. Anything created for the OER Conversion Grant must be marked as "public" so that other instructors can find and use the material.
Request a LibreOne Account - This will give you access to the project management tool (Conductor) and is required if you want an ADAPT Instructor account. Once you are verified as an instructor, you will receive an access code to allow you to create an instructor account in ADAPT.

Request or Login to your LibreOne Account. If this is your first time, click the "Register with LibreOne" link at the bottom of the page. Once logged in, you will be in the project management tool known as Conductor. Conductor allows you to create a project, add team members to the project, and to track progress its progress. The LibreOne account also gives you access to ADAPT and other LibreTexts products.
Plan your project. It's highly recommended that you spend some time in the planning phase rather than jumping in and creating a new course. The dashboard in the upper right corner allows you to browse public courses, search existing questions, and create your own courses.
Note that when using someone else's course or questions, you cannot edit individual questions because you are not the original owner. You can however make copies of questions and then make the edits you desire.
Create a course. When you login, it defaults to the "My Courses" area. You can create a new course or import a course.
Click on the course and go to Course Properties tab to edit assignment dates, etc. IMPORTANT - Once you connect the course to Canvas, any changes in due dates in ADAPT won't push through to Canvas. If adjustments need to be made to dates after you've linked the classes, you will have to make changes in both places.
Connect the class to Canvas. I recommend waiting to do this until you've got the class assignments finalized in ADAPT. Here is a video walking you through this process: Using ADAPT with the Canvas API.
LibreTexts hosts office hours twice a week. Anyone can drop in at any time during the hour to get specific questions about any LibreTexts resource, including ADAPT answered.
