In this module, we will explore the Center for Disease Control's 6 Guiding Principles To A Trauma-Informed Approach, as well as a variety of guidelines for Trauma-Informed Pedagogy derived from the CDC model. According to various studies:
Around 70% of adults in the US have experienced at least one traumatic event in their lives.
Considering its overwhelming prevalence and because trauma responses interrupt students' ability to learn, we will explore how we can create a safer learning environment for our students.
