The course includes individual and team sports, physical fitness testing, and cooperative learning. Students are taught fundamentals, rules and strategies. All high school students are required to earn ½ credit in physical education and a ½ credit in health education. In order to earn P.E. credit, students must actively participate in 70% of the available class time.
