The purpose of the Advanced Programming Project is to build a complex computer game using small, simple steps.
This is the link to my JavaScript game. We worked really hard on actually writing the code for our games, as opposed to simply making them with blocks. This was really fun!
This is the link to my platformer skillmap. I added more to this when the skillmap would not tell me more, so now there are three levels. I will continue to work on this, and I will make changes to it, and that will be my final game.
Describe the final results:
I had a ton of fun making my different games. I learned about the importance of reading the instructions VERY carefully, and not to overthink things. I am very proud of my finished product.
What do you know now that you didn't know when you started this project?
now I know how to code with javascript.
I also learned how to make a platformer.
What advice would you give to a future students about this project?
I would tell a future student to make sure To read the instructions very carefully like I mentioned earlier.
What else would you like to try that you didn't have time for?
I would like to add more to my games.
What proof do you have that shows you learned the project's purpose?
My proof is this portfolio page, which shows that I have practiced the steps of a project, since you can see my process.
